We were completely reliant on Checkatrade to discover us a competent contractor for our home improvement. We registered and listed our requirements, but unfortunately, we were left high and dry.

We thought we were doing the right choice by using Checkatrade to find a reputable plumber/electrician/contractor. After all, they seemed so reliable with their qualified traders. Boy, were we wrong! Our experience was nothing short of a disaster.

First, the communication from the "qualified" trader was lackluster/awful/terrible. He was unprofessional/rude/disrespectful and gave us a quote that was outrageous/ridiculous/way too high. We tried to talk about the issues, but he was adamant/unwilling/stubborn to compromise/negotiate/change.

In the end, we ended up having to hire someone else by this so-called "vetted" trader. Checkatrade's customer service was equally useless/incompetent/unhelpful. They offered us a pathetic excuse/blamed the trader/did nothing.

We're left feeling disappointed and would definitely not recommend Checkatrade for your tradesman needs.

My experience with Checkatrade became a total disaster. I engaged a trader through their service to complete some crucial home repairs. They appeared legitimate at first, but it resulted in a horrendous ordeal.

Even though I sent the full amount upfront, the work completely vanished into thin air. Getting a response dried up. It's been a truly agonizing period, and I'm still left with unfinished repairs.
